I often wonder what the outcome would have been if the CEO were a black woman, or if the murderer had been a white guy without the good looks. But hypotheticals are as inconsequential as the identity and politics of Luigi himself. The killing was a catalyst that launched a trillion conversations; and it once more exposed—a month after the election—just how wide the gulf is between legacy media and peon paupers like you and me.
